  2. Product\u00a0<\/span>or<\/span>\u00a0service development\u00a0and delivery\u00a0\u2013 creating and sharing our values to clients\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Accounting\u00a0and\u00a0finance\u00a0\u2013\u00a0a\u00a0backbone\u00a0of the\u00a0business\u00a0to support its stability\u00a0and growth, etc.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In this article, I will focus\u00a0mainly\u00a0on the\u00a0component of\u00a0marketing and sales based on direct experiences in my coaching business.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    In modern marketing, people need human connection.\u00a0\u00a0People love to see the authenticity of each individual who owns a brand rather than doing the same thing as everyone else.\u00a0\u00a0In this industry,\u00a0\u00a0your passion for coaching, your credibility as an ICF-credentialed coach, your experiences, and your ability to \u201dbe yourself\u201d can help your\u00a0\u00a0marketing feel authentic and help you stand out in the crowd.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Below, I explore\u00a0three main areas of marketing and sales\u00a0that professional coaches need to\u00a0consider\u00a0to build\u00a0their\u00a0coaching business,\u00a0expand\u00a0its\u00a0volume\u00a0and\u00a0value,\u00a0and lead to a sustainable business.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Online<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>Marketing<\/span><\/b>: Produce valuable content (such as\u00a0blogs\u00a0and\u00a0video\u00a0clips) to\u00a0your\u00a0target clients.\u00a0This content is\u00a0planned\u00a0and executed\u00a0through\u00a0digital\u00a0marketing.\u00a0<\/span>Social media is a must, and\u00a0a\u00a0website is key.<\/span><\/i>\u00a0Here are a few things to keep in mind:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Content is an incredible tool and opportunity. That\u2019s why you\u00a0should create an online journal or blog\u00a0to communicate your\u00a0knowledge and\u00a0values to your target clients.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Writing is a skill that we can learn and practice. Ask for an advice from an expert. Read a lot of books. Think about the topic \/ storyline \/ objective \/ outcome that your readers want to gain. Start writing and sharing …. don’t be worried, if you keep practicing, it will gradually increase in both quantity and quality!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Short\u00a0video\u00a0clip\u00a0production\u00a0is highly recommended.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Having a\u00a0website is a<\/span> must<\/span><\/i>\u00a0to build the credibility of your business. It is\u00a0similar to\u00a0your\u00a0physical office\u00a0where\u00a0people will come to find information about you, your coaching services, client references\u00a0and your contact information.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Social media is a channel to\u00a0communicate your latest\u00a0news\u00a0including articles\u00a0integrated\u00a0from your website.\u00a0At present, there are many social media\u00a0platforms.\u00a0Choose\u00a0the ones you want to use\u00a0wisely based on your target clients\u2019 interests\u00a0and\u00a0your purpose.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      2. Offline Marketing<\/span><\/b>: Join communities\u00a0such as thought\u00a0leaders, HR professionals, business owners, education, etc.,\u00a0as well as\u00a0your\u00a0local ICF\u00a0Chapter\u00a0,\u00a0to understand\u00a0others\u2019\u00a0perspectives and share\u00a0the value of\u00a0your\u00a0coaching services.\u00a0Here are a few things to keep in mind:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      • The target\u00a0client\u00a0of a coaching is everyone, which is a\u00a0huge\u00a0number of people. Therefore,\u00a0each\u00a0individual professional\u00a0coach can support and provide coaching services to the people in their circles.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Attend\u00a0activities of\u00a0various communities\u00a0such as thought\u00a0leaders, HR professionals, business owners, education, etc.\u00a0Talk\u00a0with\u00a0them\u00a0to\u00a0understand their perspectives, challenges\u00a0and\u00a0requirements, and then find\u00a0a\u00a0way to support each other.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Participate\u00a0in various activities\u00a0with your local ICF Chapter\u00a0to enhance\u00a0coaching\u00a0knowledge\u00a0and to build\u00a0networking\u00a0with other professional coaches.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        3. <\/strong>Packaging\u00a0Your Services\u00a0for Sales:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0Find your niche,\u00a0understand your clients\u2019 needs,\u00a0offer flexible solutions for them\u00a0and\u00a0partner\u00a0long-term\u00a0with your clients by supporting their needs\u00a0as they grow.\u00a0Here are a few things to keep in mind:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        • Professionalism in coaching is\u00a0an\u00a0important\u00a0foundation\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0business.\u00a0We need to develop knowledge and abilities and our coaching skills\u00a0regularly.\u00a0This is a coaching mindset as stated\u00a0in\u00a0the second\u00a0ICF\u00a0Core\u00a0Competency\u00a0–\u00a0Embodies\u00a0a\u00a0Coaching Mindset.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Once we\u00a0continue\u00a0develop\u00a0ourselves, we will be able to effectively deliver our\u00a0coaching services\u00a0to the\u00a0clients, which will be turned into our experiences. Our experiences\u00a0will lead to\u00a0continuous and\u00a0effective\u00a0proposal design\u00a0that\u00a0match\u00a0the\u00a0client\u2019s needs and\u00a0the\u00a0resources\u00a0they have.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Once you have considered these three areas of marketing and sales, I encourage you to apply them and take action to make the most of your authenticity and uniqueness.
