Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest are the hottest platforms and are oftentimes untapped markets for coaches.<\/p>\n<p>The problem is most people struggle with creating the seemingly endless amounts of content they think they need to keep each platform active and engaged.<\/p>\n<p>Surely, we all have our teachable moments, the breakdowns that led to our most beautiful breakthroughs. Those stories are easy to recall and share. But what happens when you \u201drun out\u201d of those big events and aha! moments? When you\u2019ve told your struggle-to-success story over and over and even you are sick of hearing it?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s time to learn how to use your boring life to create magical content.<\/p>\n<p>Truth be told, you can be doing this from the get-go. You don\u2019t have to wait until the content well has run dry. You can write about the seemingly tedious tales, the ins and outs of your suburban life, along with the wildly inspiring, overcoming-the-odds stories.<\/p>\n<p>There are many ways to mine content from your daily life, if you just get a little creative. It\u2019s easy to overthink this and to make your life harder than it must be. You can find new content everywhere, every day, if you\u2019re coming from a content creation lens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Six tricks to capturing divine downloads of daily content:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep a notepad and pen next to your bed, in your car, in your purse, with you always. Take notes when you see something that makes you go, \u201cHmmm.\u201d Is there a teachable moment there, in the mundane? Write it down!<\/li>\n<li>Physically write thoughts down as they come up no matter how much you tell yourself that you\u2019ll remember it later. You won\u2019t.<\/li>\n<li>Keep a dry erase marker in your bathroom and write the ideas down on the mirror. If you\u2019re like me and your best ideas come while you\u2019re in the shower, this will be a content gold mine!<\/li>\n<li>Keep index cards with you and write down each idea\/thought on their own card. As you collect the cards, set them down next to your desk and just pick one and write away!<\/li>\n<li>Use the dictation on your phone to talk it out. Maybe writing it down isn\u2019t practical. Leave yourself a voice memo so you can come back to it later!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We\u2019ve covered the ways to capture content as it comes, but how do you actually \u201csee\u201d the content that\u2019s right in front of you? Here are some ways you can start mining content from your daily life:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Start paying attention to patterns that you\u2019re seeing with your clients and community members. Are they all coming to you with similar problems or questions? Are they struggling with something that you have also struggled with? Think about the stories from your personal life and the breakthroughs you experienced and created for yourself. Share those experiences with your readers. Storytelling is a great way to establish trust and intimacy with your community<\/li>\n<li>Just because you think your daily life is boring doesn\u2019t mean that somebody on the other side of the world will think it is! Remember, social media is about voyeurism. We\u2019re outsiders looking in. So, while you may live somewhere that has ridiculous amounts of snow on a regular basis, someone somewhere in the world has never seen snow and is fascinated by your daily life<\/li>\n<li>Trust that you have an abundant amount of content at your fingertips. Those funny moments with your kids? Content. The interaction you had with the checker at the grocery story? Content. The argument you had with your significant other. Content. Share your takeaways, what you learned and what you can do better the next time<\/li>\n<li>Think about your ideal client and what they\u2019re struggling with. How are they feeling? What are they thinking? What stories of yours do they need to hear in order to know they\u2019re not alone? What did you need to hear when you were in that position? You can share your own experiences and how you came out on top so they can start to see what is possible for themselves<\/li>\n<li>What do you want to be known for? What do you want people to think, do or believe when they come across your content? Start thinking about what pictures, stories and articles reflect your values and beliefs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Creating content doesn\u2019t have to be hard.
